Fort Bend ISD to Hold College Application Boot Camp Aug. 10 in Missouri City
Fort Bend ISD will hold a college application boot camp night in Missouri City on Aug. 10.

MISSOURI CITY, TX — Fort Bend ISD’s Counseling and Post-Secondary Readiness Department will hold its annual College Application Boot Camp from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Elkins High School, 7007 Knights Court, in Missouri City.
The event will provide participants with information regarding college applications and essays, admission requirements, financial aid and other areas of interest to help students prepare for their college careers.
More than 30 colleges and universities will be represented, including: Abilene Christian University, Houston Community College, Prairie View A&M University, Texas State University, Texas Women’s University, and the University of Tulsa.

The Boot Camps are free and open to all high school seniors attending a high school in Fort Bend ISD, Lamar Consolidated ISD or Needville ISD. Students are required to o pre-register for the event to ensure entry. Students are invited to bring their personal laptops or visit the onsite computer lab to complete online college applications. Space in the computer lab is limited; however, Wi-Fi will be available.
