Fort Bend Sheriff Expands National Night Out in Sugar Land, Richmond, Rosenberg
The Fort Bend County Sheriff is expanding National Night Out for communities like Sugar Land, Richmond and Rosenberg.

RICHMOND, TX — Taking a cue from The Woodlands, whose celebration of National Night Out takes almost the entire summer, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has decided to expand its celebration of National Night Out.
Instead of the event being limited to one night out of the year, Aug. 2 for everywhere but Texas and Florida, who have special dispensation to hold the event in October to avoid the heat ad humidity, it will now stretch over a month.

The FBCSO is giving area residents the ability to hold national night out parties on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons from Sept. 6 to Oct. 4. The sheriff's office has asked party organizers to combine their events when possible and to register them with the department.
Residents are welcome to request Sheriff’s Office personnel to attend their block parties. To arrange for deputies to attend, contact Deputy Gerard Argao, Community Services Division – Crime Prevention Unit, by emailing socp[at]fortbendcountytx.gov to register a date and time.
