George Ranch in Richmond to Hold Labor Day Barbecues on Sept. 3 and Sept. 5

The George Ranch in Richmond will hold Labor Day barbecues on Sept. 3 and Sept. 5.

RICHMOND, TX — The George Ranch Historical Park will be open for Labor Day on Saturday, Sept. 3, and Monday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As part of its celebration, the park will hold a Labor Day Backyard Barbecue. Guests to the park are invited to celebrate the holiday with 1930's music and period games such as snakes and ladders, hopscotch and badminton.

At 12:30 p.m. park staff will plate up a traditional Southern barbecue lunch that will include: beef brisket, mesquite con pollo, cowboy beans, potato salad, cole slaw, fruit cobblers, bread pudding and homemade ice cream.

The games and activities are included in the price of admission, the price for the meal is $15 for adults 13 years and older, $12 for children 5-12 and $4 for children 4 and under.
