The Honor Roll School® Hosts Regional National History Bee

Six students from The Honor Roll School who competed in the Regional Finals will now advance to the National Finals in Atlanta

On March 12, The Honor Roll School in Sugar Land hosted the National History Bee’s Houston Regional Finals competition, during which the top 140 students from Houston and surrounding areas who qualified via an online exam had the opportunity to display their knowledge of both United States and world history. At the Regional Finals, students in three divisions – elementary, seventh grade and eighth grade – participated in an online 50-question test and two 25-question buzzer rounds. Students who scored in the top 25 percent of their division at the end of the event qualified for the National Finals, which will be held in Atlanta in June. Of the 14 students from The Honor Roll School who qualified to participate in the Regional Finals, six will advance to the National Finals. The students include Anita Aiyer, Carter Hedges, Kavin Krishna and Mubarik Qureshi, as well as Jackson Baldwin and Kyler Mitra, who both scored in the top eight within their divisions.

The National History Bee is an exciting academic competition designed to motivate and reward students for studying history. For more information, visit www.aceqb.com/historybee.
