Katy ISD Hosts 34th Annual Folklife Festival This Weekend
If you have ever wondered what life was like in Texas 1875, you'd better mosey on over to the Folklife Festival in Katy this weekend.
KATY, TX — If you have ever wondered what life was like before cars, cell phones and indoor plumbing, then consider a trip back in time at the 34th Annual Folklife Festival in Katy.
The event takes places on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kenneth D. Welch Outdoor Learning Center, and will feature some long lost arts of black smithing, hand quilting, candle making, cheese making, and a lot more.
Admission is only $1 per person, with concessions provided by Chick-fil-A (cash only). The outdoor learning center is located at 6301 South Stadium Lane in Katy.
