Katy Man Shoots Sister, 3 Others Before Killing Himself: Police

Fort Bend County homicide investigators said John Wright shot and killed his sister and wounded 3 others before killing himself.

KATY, TX — Two people were killed and three others were wounded, when a man opened fired during an apparent house warming party in a quiet Katy neighborhood, and then killed himself, police said.

The shooting happened at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 5500 block of Everhart Manor Lane. Investigators said John Wright shot his sister Julianna Carr to death and wounded three others before taking his own life.

There were also two teens in the home at the time of the shooting, who both managed to escape, KPRC reported.
