Registration Deadline Approaching for Fort Bend County Jr. Fair Royalty Pageant

RICHMOND, TX — The Registration deadline for the Fort Bend County Fair's Jr. Fair Royalty Pageant is 5 p.m. on Sept. 1.

The coronation of fair prince and princess, duke and duchess and junior fair queen will be at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, 4310 SH 36 S., in Rosenberg on Sept. 17.

The fair prince and princess contest is open to children 4-6 years old, while the duke and duchess contest is open to children 7-10 years old. The junior fair queen competition is only open to girls 11-14 years old.

All contestants must be a resident of Fort Bend County at the time of entry. Participants will be judged on personality, speaking ability, choice of western attire overall stage appearance.

The entry fee is $35, with discounts being given for siblings. A winner and three runners up will be selected for each category, and all participants will receive a trophy.

Winners will serve as ambassadors during this year's fair.
