Stafford School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Stafford is August 21. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Stafford Municipal School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/19: Early Dismissal: SPS, SES, SIS
• 10/20: No School for Students (Teacher Planning and PD)

November

• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/14: Early Dismissal: SMS, SHS
• 12/15: Early Dismissal: All Schools
• 12/18 - 1/1: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/2: No School for Students (PD or Flex Day)
• 1/3: No School for Students (PD/Planning/Work Day)
• 1/4: Students Return for Second Semester
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday)

February

• 2/2: No School for Students (Teacher Planning and PD)
• 2/8: Early Dismissal: SPS, SES, SIS (UIL)
• 2/19: No School (President's Day)

March

• 3/12 - 3/16: No School (Spring Break)
• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

April

• 5/25: Last Day of School, District Early Dismissal
