RICHMOND, TX — A band of severe thunderstorms accompanied by high winds pelting rain and hail rolled through areas of Fort Bend and Wharton County late Thursday evening.

At least one vehicle was damaged when high winds snapped a power line in half, causing it to topple onto a pickup. The driver was not injured.
