Thieves Steal U.S., Texas and POW Flags from Sugar Land Park
Someone stole the U.S., Texas and POW flags from a park in a Sugar Land subdivision.

SUGAR LAND, TX — If there was a cake, this would take it.
Residents of the Pecan Grove subdivision in Sugar Land, really it's almost to Richmond, woke up on July 28 and discovered that some person, or persons, had stolen the U.S., Texas and POW flags from Pecan Grove Memorial Park.
Although, the flags were quickly replaced, residents still feel that the theft defiled the memorial. Pecan Grove resident John Minchew, who proposed the creation of the privately owned park, described the theft as "a cowardly act."

Area residents have raised more than $1,000 for a reward for information leading to the arrest of the thief or thieves. Anyone who has information on this crime is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-8477, 281-342-TIPS.
