TxDOT Permanently Closes NB I-69 Entrance At Reading Road

Officials said Reading Road motorists traveling northbound can use alternate route to northbound frontage road bridge over FM 762.

ROSENBERG, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation did as promised and permanently closed the Reading Road exit at northbound Interstate 69.

TxDOT officials warned motorists ahead of time to pack their patience and stay alert for the Monday commute into Houston.

City officials in Richmond said Thursday that TXDOT crews would permanently close the northbound entrance ramp beginning at 9 a.m. on Jan 14.

Officials said Reading Road motorists traveling northbound can use the northbound frontage road bridge over FM 762 to the temporary northbound main lane entrance ramp on to US 59/ IH 69 located a quarter-mile north of FM 762.
