Woman Arrested With $700K In Cocaine In Fort Bend County: Police
Sandra Perez, 65, of Mission Texas, was arrested on Feb. 28, with 14 Kilos of cocaine hidden in her care, police said.

ROSENBERG, TX — A 65-year-old woman is facing felony narcotics charges after she was allegedly caught hauling 14 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of $700,000, police said. Narcotics investigators arrested Sandra Perez, 65, of Mission Texas, on Feb. 28, and booked her into the Fort Bend County Jail.
Perez was charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony, and unlawful use of a criminal instrument, which is a second-degree felony.
Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls said in a statement that Perez was pulled over by members of the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force, who were conducting narcotics interdiction on Interstate 69 north from Victoria.

During the roadside investigation, the Task Force Officer and K-9 Deputy Kaja found 14 Kilograms of Cocaine concealed in an aftermarket-fabricated compartment. The Cocaine has an estimated street level impact of $700,000.00.
“We will continue to be vigilant by working to intercept drugs as they make their way northbound from Mexico,” stated Sheriff Troy Nehls.
