Dr. Wesley Marshall awarded for outstanding patient care

Awarded the Physician Summit Award by Superior HealthPlan

Ascension Medical Group Providence is proud to announce Dr. Wesley Marshall, family medicine specialist in Hillsboro, has been awarded the Physician Summit Award by Superior HealthPlan for his outstanding commitment to high-quality care. Dr. Marshall’s specialties include family medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics. Dr. Marshall has been recognized for providing comprehensive, compassionate care for his patients in the Hillsboro community.

The Physician Summit Award is given to one Texas provider annually, acknowledging the extraordinary efforts of a physician to provide quality care and clinical excellence to Superior members. Dr. Marshall was chosen due to his dedication to the community, quality partnership with Superior, and exemplary quality scores for HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) measures including prenatal and postpartum care as well as preventive medicine for children and adults.

“It’s an honor to serve our community,” said Dr. Marshall. “I’m extremely proud to be recognized by Superior HealthPlan and its members. Offering the best possible healthcare leads to a healthier, happier community.”

Dr. Marshall was raised in Gilmer, Texas, and earned his bachelor's at Texas A&M University. His MD and MBA were earned at Texas Tech, followed by residency at the Waco Family Medicine program. He and his wife moved to Hillsboro in 2007, where they are raising their four children.
