Bank Teller And Her Girlfriend Accused In Woodlands Bank Heist

Victoria McLean, 29, and Jasmin Cruz, 25, are accused of robbing a Chase Bank branch on Feb. 13 where McLean worked as a teller.

THE WOODLANDS, TX — Two women who concocted a scheme to rob a Chase Bank branch in The Woodlands last week, were arrested after investigators learned of their involvement.

Jasmin Cruz, 25, and Victoria McLean, 29, are being held in the Montgomery County Jail. Both women are accused of robbing the Chase Bank in the 8200 block of Kuykendahl Road on Feb. 13.

According to police, McLean, who was a teller at the bank, cooked up the scheme with Cruz, who was her girlfriend.

Montgomery County Sheriff's investigators released bank surveillance photos on Feb. 13 that showed a woman believed to be Cruz entering the bank wearing a wig, and leaving in a white Jeep Sahara.

Police said McLean was working at the bank the day it was robbed. Cruz was ultimately identified and led police to the stash of cash taken from the bank after she allegedly confessed to her involvement.

Cruz was charged with robbery and is being held with bail set at $30,000. McLean was charged with felony theft and has other unrelated charges. She is being held without bond, police said.
