Enroll For 2017: 5 After-School Programs in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Woodlands Patch knows that learning does not stop after the last bell rings. Ensure that your child is enrolled in an after-school program that engages his or her interests while also stimulating intellectual growth with a collection of programs open for enrollment in 2017.

Kids 'R' Kids aspires to expand beyond typical childcare services by providing the best possible learning environment and after-school programs for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. A Kids 'R' Kids after-school experience seeks to be educational and enriching. Five themed play rooms are available: the Discovery Zone, the Nova Zone, the Open Air Zone, the Construction Zone and the Media Center. Tours are available through scheduling.

ASI Gymnastics offers after-school programming at multiple locations throughout Texas, where the goal of participants is to have fun learning gymnastics while staying active and completing their homework. Members may attend as few as one day per week or every weekday. The program is offered to elementary-age students. Transportation options are available.

The Children's Courtyard invites families to a great start and finish to every day. The five clubs of the Children's Courtyard's My Best Self! program for school-age students focuses on goal-setting and reflection, complemented by homework support, team-building opportunities and physical activity.

The Woodlands Family YMCA at Shadowbend is open Monday through Friday from 4:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1-7 p.m. YMCA after-school care allows children, K-6, to engage in physical, learning and imaginative activities, activities that encourage children to explore who they are. After-school care is available weekdays before and after school.

Sylvan Learning presents Coding for Kids, open to elementary and middle school students, an after-school program that teaches computer programming skills through interactive projects. Classes are intended for children with great imaginations, who enjoy figuring out how things work or who simply love technology.
