Light the Night Holding Fundraiser in The Woodlands
The annual Light the Night Walk will hold a fundraiser Aug. 11 in The Woodlands.

THE WOODLANDS, TX — Although the annual Light the Night Walk isn't until Oct. 16, the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is encouraging residents of The Woodlands, and surrounding areas, to come out for a kickoff fundraiser/luncheon on Monday, Aug. 11.
The fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, 1601 Lake Robbins Dr.

As part of the luncheon's festivities, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will hold a fundraising fair where teams and individuals are given materials necessary to raise funds and build successful teams.
After the fair, there will be a presentation on fundraising best practices, success stories from team captains and testimonials from the honorary heroes of this year’s walk.

During the Light the Night Walk in October, participants are asked to carry white, red or gold lanterns. The colors are designated, respectively, for survivors, supporters and those lost to blood cancers, like leukemia.
