Lone Star College Accepting Applications for Leadership High School

THE WOODLANDS, TX — Lone Star College is accepting applications for the 2016-2017 Leadership High School. The program teaches high school students leadership skills.

From October to April, students participating in Leadership High School will be offered unique opportunities to interact with community leaders, thereby becoming more informed about the issues facing some of the various communities in Lone Star College's service area.

Students will go through an orientation and leadership skills retreat in October, which will be followed by monthly sessions focusing on topics including education, local and state government, criminal justice, health and human services and cultural diversity.

The application deadline is Friday, Sept. 23, and the program is only open to students in Lone Star College's service area. For more information go here.
