Experts from several fields and agencies, including Mercer Botanical gardens and the Texas A&M Forest Service, will be on hand to teach expo-goers everything about landscaping, gardening and the critters and insects that live in your yard.

Take advantage of the free tree giveaway: transport it home, plant it, care for it and watch it grow.

For the little ones, the Family Adventure Zone will let their imaginations run wild.

Children will have the opportunity to make a bird feeder, take a look at a live screech owl, climb a rock wall, jump in a kayak, dig in the dirt with earthworms and participate in archery, fishing, and so much more. Smokey Bear will also be on hand to take pictures with the whole family.

Prizes are available for children who complete a number of activities on the day-of discovery passport.
