Tomball Woman Dies A Day After She's Gunned Down Outside Home

Elizabeth Barraza, 29, was shot to death outside her home while she was setting up for a garage sale on Friday morning.

TOMBALL, TX — A Tomball woman who was gunned down outside her home early Friday morning has died from her injuries, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced in a tweet on Saturday.

Elizabeth Barraza, 29, was setting up for a garage sale outside her home in the 8600 block of Cedar Walk Drive just before 7 a.m. Friday, when a woman in a dark colored pickup, came up to her and shot her multiple times, before fleeing the area, police said.

Neighbors reported hearing three successive gunshots, and then a brief pause before a fourth gunshot was fired at Barraza, KPRC reported.

Video surveillance showed grainy images of a woman firing three times at Barraza, and then standing over her to fire a final shot after she fell to the ground.

Barraza was flown by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital in what investigators described as very critical condition.

Investigators released neighborhood surveillance video of the pickup as it entered the neighborhood, which is posted above.
