Woodlands Board Approves Property Tax Rate
The Wodlands Township Board approved a tax rate of $0.23 per $100 of valuation.
THE WOODLANDS, TX — The Woodlands Township Board of Directors approved a proposed property tax rate of $0.23 per $100 valuation.
Of the approved rate, $0.2125 will go towards maintenance and operations and $0.0175 will be spent on debt service.
Since the approved rate is above the effective rate of $0.22 per $100, the rate that will bring in the same amount of revenue as last year's budget, the Woodlands Township is required to hold two public hearings before adopting the tax rate.

The hearings are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 31, and Wednesday, Sept. 7. Each will be held at 6 p.m. at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard.
