FORT WORTH, TX —The Woodlands Christian grad Brennan "The Bull" Poole will make his return to competitive racing this weekend after an injury layoff, and he'll do so in Texas. Poole will be driving for On Point Motorsports in Saturday's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 220 at Texas Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth.

Poole, who graduated from The Woodlands Christian in 2008, broke his wrist in a snowboarding accident in February. The injury required surgery and kept him off the racing circuit for three months. Though, according to Checkered Flag.co.uk., Poole did not have any rides lined to start the season after losing his 2020 full-time Cup Series seat at Premium Motorsports/Rick Ware Racing.

However, on Monday, On Point Motorsports announced it would be working with the 30-year-old Poole, who previously was part of the team.

Poole has made 30 starts for On Point, including finishing second in the 2019 event at Charlotte, which was On Point's best-ever finish. That season, Poole had a top-five finish, four top 10 finishes and seven top 15 finishes in 13 starts.

"I'm excited to be working with On Point Motorsports again and grateful to be back behind the wheel after my injury," Poole said in a statement. "Thank you to everyone who has made this possible."

Saturday's race, which will be broadcast on FS1 beginning at noon, will be Poole's fifth start at the Texas Motor Speedway in the Camping World Truck Series. Three of the starts have come with On Point, including Poole's seventh-place finish in the 2019 event.

On Tuesday, Poole posted on Twitter drawings of the No. 30 truck he will drive in Ft. Worth.

According to Racing Reference.com, Poole has raced both cars and trucks. He began racing in the Arca Menards Series in 2011, and competed there until 2015. He also has competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (2015-2017) and NASCAR Cup Series (2020). He first drove in the Camping World Truck Series in 2015, and also has competed on that circuit in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

In a 2019 interview with The Woodlands Christian Academy's Warrior Life publication, Poole said that he now lives in Charlotte, but misses a lot about his hometown in Texas.

"Well, when I think about home, I think about Mexican food. That's what I miss first," Poole said. "Then there are the little things, like Whataburger or Shipley Do-nuts. When I was in school, we had a 10-minute break, and you could buy a biscuit or kolache. So, I miss the kolaches and no one knows what a kolache is outside of Texas, so they don't know what I'm talking about."
