The Woodlands: Sept. 11 Proclaimed As First Responders Day
The Woodlands Township is joining the State of Texas and the federal government in recognizing Sept. 11 as a day of remembrance.

THE WOODLANDS, TX — The Woodlands Township has declared Sept. 11 as First Responders Day in memory of the men and women who worked tirelessly to save lives at the World Trade Center in New York.
Officially called Patriot Day of Remembrance and First Responders Day in The Woodlands, two events will take place on Sept. 11, 2017 in The Woodlands: one at The Woodlands Fire Department Central Station at 7:30 a.m., the other at Town Green Park at 5:30 p.m.
While the federal government is establishing Sept. 11 as Patriot Day and National Day of Remembrance, and the State of Texas recognized the day as Texas First Responders Day, The Woodlands is adding itself to the list of governmental bodies officially recognizing the holiday.
