Woodlands Township Looking for Input on Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan

The Woodlands Township is looking for citizen input on the proposed bicycle and pedestrian master plan.

THE WOODLANDS, TX — Beginning in September, residents of The Woodlands will be able to voice their concerns about the township's bike and pedestrian master plan.

The first-of-its-kind plan identifies $52 million worth of projects and programs to be enacted over the next 20 years, there are also about $8 million of short-term projects.

Some of the short term projects include a bicycle lane along Lake Woodlands Drive from Lake Front Circle to Kuykendahl, estimated cost $250,000.

Other short to near-term projects include a shopping center pathway gap on the southwest corner of Research Forest Drive and Kuykendahl Road and school access gap along the south side of Research Forest Drive for Powell Elementary and Woodlands High schools.

The costliest short-term project is a $740,000 plan to improve connectivity to and from Harper's Landing, located on the east side of I-45.
