Woodlands Winds Down Mosquito Testing

The Woodlands will begin testing mosquitoes for West Nile and Zika.

The Woodlands, TX -- Mosquitoes at multiple locations in and around The Woodlands have tested positive for West Nile. Despite the positive results, Montgomery County officials will begin winding down their testing program.

The county was also testing mosquitoes for St. Louis Encephalitis and Zika. So far no mosquitoes in Montgomery County tested positive for either virus.

Although the county will no longer be actively testing for diseases, Montgomery County Mosquito Control will continue spraying for mosquitoes until late October, when disease activity ends.
