60-Cent Short Stacks At IHOP For Chain's Birthday
IHOP turns 60 Tuesday and it's inviting customers to celebrate with 60-cent short stacks.

IHOP — not IHOb — is celebrating its 60th birthday on Tuesday. To celebrate and perhaps atone for the name change that wasn't, the restaurant is offering short stacks for 60 cents.
Customers can get the 60-cent short stacks between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The fine print says the offer is valid for dine-in only and it cannot be combined with another discount or coupon. The limit is one 60 cent short stack per person and participation for stores varies.

IHOP was more recently in the news because of its name change from IHOP to IHOb, the lowercase b representing the restaurant's new line of steakburgers. But the chain soon went back to its original name, IHOP.
Customers felt betrayed by the gimmick that was ultimately nothing more than a marketing ploy. Explaining the brief name change, IHOP said it was the best way to convince customers that they were as serious about their burgers as they are about their pancakes.
