ACROSS AMERICA — Most of us need little help remembering how it felt to witness the terrifying events of Sept. 11. However, a Dallas bar somehow found a way to turn the tragedy into a night on the town.

The Fort Worth watering hole is called Bar9Eleven, and owner Brent Johnson is unrepentant about his choice to mark one of the darkest days in U.S. history with a drinking establishment and snarky comments to "never forget" when it's Wing Wednesday there.

The themed bar isn’t new. It was actually called that following a 2013 remodel. Still, the age of social media has a flair for spreading controversy, and Bar9Eleven has raised more than a few eyebrows this week. Read the story on Dallas Patch
