ACROSS AMERICA — The four teams in the NCAA Division I College Football Playoff have been revealed. Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Notre Dame will compete for the 2020 National Championship.

The final selections were revealed early Sunday afternoon on ESPN.

Top-seeded Alabama will play No. 4 seed Notre Dame in one semifinal on New Year's Day as No. 2 Clemson will face No. 3 Ohio State in the other game. The Alabama-Notre Dame Rose Bowl Game will be moved from its traditional location in Pasadena to AT&T Stadium in Texas due to the coronavirus surge in Southern California. Clemson and Ohio State will play in the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.

Notably absent from the four teams to advance to the playoff is Texas A&M, the first one-loss SEC team to not advance to the playoff since the new four-team format began in 2014. The Aggies' only loss of the season was to No. 1 Alabama.

"I don't care what league you're in. If you're gonna pick the best four teams, we're one of them," Texas A&M Head Coach Jimbo Fisher said after the team's Saturday win over Tennessee, according to ESPN.

Notre Dame, a team coming off a 24-point loss to Clemson in the ACC Championship, got the nod over Texas A&M for the final spot due to having an additional win over a ranked opponent, Selection Committee Chairman Gary Barta said.

Texas A&M will take on the University of North Carolina in the Orange Bowl.

Also left out of the playoff is an undefeated University of Cincinnati team. The Bearcats will play the University of Georgia in the Peach Bowl.

Match-ups in other "New Year's six" bowl games include the University of Oregon taking on Iowa State University in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 2 and the University of Oklahoma versus the University of Florida in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 30.
