Feature Your Event Or Announcement On Patch For Just $7 A Week

Do you have an event coming up that you want people in your community to know about? Or is there some other big news you want to announce in your area?

Promoting posts on Patch is the best way to get your message in front of a local audience. And thanks to feedback we’ve been incorporating from Patch posters across the country, promoting your post has never been easier — or cheaper.

Starting at just $7 per week, you can feature your event or announcement on Patch — both on the web and in our daily newsletters — and share it with up to 15 nearby communities.

Ready to get started? Here’s how it works:

Step #1: Log in or register for a Patch account.

It's free and easy to sign up!

Step #2: Post your event or announcement.

Once you’ve filled out the event or announcement form, you can post it right away — for free! — to one community. Just click the “Post now” button at the bottom of the form.

Events will post straight to the local calendar of the Patch community you’ve selected. Announcements will be posted to the local Bulletin Board for your home community.

Step #3: Promote and share your post!

Looking to reach (a lot) more people? Just before you get to the “Post now” button, you’ll see a checkbox that says, “Share with nearby communities?” Click the checkbox to see your options for promoting and sharing your post.

You’ll see a list of nearby communities, along with the average number of page views on that community during a given week. As you select communities, you'll see a running total of the potential views your post could get if promoted in those places.

Once you’re done choosing communities, just click “Post now” and enter your credit card number to finish up!

Promotion Perks

Promoted posts show up in a number of places across Patch, including alongside and underneath our steady stream of local news articles. They are also guaranteed to get featured placement in our daily newsletters.

Promoted announcements get featured for seven days after they are posted, and events are featured starting seven days before the date they take place.
