Memorials and tributes honoring the late George H.W. Bush have sprung up around the nation as Washington D.C. prepares a state funeral for the former president. As expected, there has been nothing short of outpouring love for the 41st U.S. President, who died late Friday Nov. 30, 2018. President Donald Trump, former commander-in-chiefs Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, as well as a slew of celebrities, world political leaders and other notables from all walks of life, have been vocal in the overwhelming reaction to Bush's passing.
Earlier today, more than 100 guests arrived at Houston's Ellington Field for a special send-off ceremony, as the casket of former President George H.W. Bush leaves for Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. In attendance on the tarmac were Bush's family members as well as a military band and 21-gun salute. "For the task of transporting Bush's body, the plane has been renamed Special Air Mission 41, the number being a reference to Bush's place in the roster of America's presidents," reported AP News on Dec. 03, 2018.
