How To Get More RSVPs For Your Next Event

They say showing up is half the battle. But when you're the one planning an event, getting other people to show up can feel like a lot more than 50 percent of the struggle. We know it can be tough to get the word out about events which is why Patch is here to help.

Whether you're planning a 5K fundraiser, a craft fair, a dodgeball tournament or anything in between, posting it on Patch is an easy way to let your community know about it so they can get involved. When you post an event on Patch, you're giving the who, what, when, where and why directly to people in your area. Your event will also score a place on the Patch event calendar which highlights what's going on in your community.

You can post your event and share it to three Patches for free, or if you really want to get the word out, you can pay $20 to feature your event. When an event is featured, it receives priority placement on the local calendar, homepage, article pages and in the daily newsletter (if available) the week before the event.

Posting your event to Patch is simple. Here's how:

1. Sign up for a Patch account. You can do this through Facebook, credit card verification or applying directly through Patch. This is quick, easy and free.
2. Fill out your event posting. This is where you describe what your event is, when it will be taking place and anything else people need to know in order to attend. You can add a photo or any contact information you'd like to share. This is also where you note if you'd like you'd like your event to be featured.
3. Hit post. (See? Told you it was simple.)

Please note we do not support featured repeating events. If your event is recurring, you'll need to create an additional event listing for each date you want to feature. Because event postings are listed instantly, all sales are final.
