Konkol Meets ‘Florida Man’ + Infant Son Dies + Tortured In China

ACROSS AMERICA — When Patch columnist Mark Konkol reached the Florida state line on his summer 2021 road trip, he naturally thought of billionaire Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, and the $12 million equestrian estate Pritzker owns in that state.

Already having a tentative interview canceled by former Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner, when the former governor “flew the coop” to beat the Florida heat — and possibly a pesky reporter’s questions — Konkol was about ready to give up in his Sunshine State search for Illinois governors, past and present.
