Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Tour Australia (PHOTOS)

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry kicked off their royal visit to Australia on Tuesday as part of a tour that includes stops in New Zealand, Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga. Just before the visit to the South Pacific, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were expecting their first child, news that was met with much happiness and excitement around the world.

The couple have a packed itinerary for their 16-day visit. A big focus of the tour is on youth leadership and projects being undertaken by the younger generation to address social, economic and environmental challenges in the region, Kensington Palace said in a statement detailing the visit. The palace further said environmental and conservation efforts and the 2018 Invictus Games being held in Sydney are also a focus of the visit.

Saturday will mark day five of the visit. So far, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have met koalas at Sydney's Toranga Zoo, enjoyed time with a local surfing community group on Australia's famous Bondi Beach and attended a rainy day BBQ in Dubbo. Here we've rounded up some of the best highlights of the royal tour so far.

Day 5

Day 4

Prince Harry climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge to raise the Invictus Games flag along with Prime Minister Scott Morrison, while the pregnant Duchess of Sussex stayed behind. They were joined by four competitors from the Australian Invictus Games team - Luke Hill, Ruth Hunt, Heidi Joosten and Michael Lyddiard.

The couple also visited Macarthur Girls High School in Sydney on day four of their tour as well. Meghan's baby bump was on full display as she watched the school children perform.

Also on day four of their tour, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met with local surfing community group 'OneWave' on Bondi Beach.

The Royal couple posed for snaps with the surf group OneWave on the beach and got to meet the founder, Grant Trebilco, who shares his own story of how surfing and the ocean inspired him to found OneWave and to spark conversations about mental health.

Earlier in the day the parents to be delighted residents after a presentation at Melbourne's Government House. Prince gave out hugs to some of the emotional onlookers.

On their second day of touring the South Pacific, Meghan and Harry arrived Dubbo Airport to a frenzy of local school children.

In one of the sweetest moments of the Royal Tour so far, Markle was seen sharing a warm embrace with Luke Vincent, aged 5, from Buninyong Public School.

The royal couple made their way to Victoria Park to join more people from Dubbo and the surrounding areas for a BBQ picnic to celebrate community spirit within the region. His Royal Highness Prince Harry gave an address as well, while Duchess Meghan held his umbrella.

The Duke and Duchess receive a welcome to Admiralty House by His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove, Governor- General of the Commonwealth of Australia and Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove. Their Royal Highnesses will meet representatives from each of the eighteen Invictus Games countries.

The soon to be parents were also gifted with a stuffed kangaroo for the future royal baby!

Harry and Meghan shared an adorable moment with a Koala called Ruby on their stop to Taronga Zoo in Sydney.

The couple even got to view a rehearsal at the Sydney Opera House of Spirit 2018 by the Bangarra Dance Theatre, an internationally acclaimed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander modern dance company.

While in Sydney, Harry and Meghan were seen having a tender moment with Daphne Dunne. The Prince had previously met the 98-year-old woman during a 2015 visit when she was wearing her late husband's Victoria Cross medal. The pair immediately formed a close bond and got in contact again in 2017.

On Oct. 16, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex touched down in Sydney Australia to begin their 16 day tour of the South Pacific.
