The coming-of-age film, which stars Irish actress Saoirse Ronan as a teen itching to leave her Sacramento home for an exciting East Coast life, explores the complex relationship between mothers and daughters while giving some love to Gerwig's hometown. "I grew up in Sacramento, and I love Sacramento," Gerwig said. "The film represents my desire to write a love letter to a place that only came into focus after I left." These Are A Few Of Oprah's Favorite Things

The media mogul released her annual Favorite Things list this week, and her 2017 roundup did not disappoint. Some of our personal faves? See more of Oprah's favorite things and get a jump start on your holiday shopping.
New On Netflix

Halloween might be over, but that doesn't mean Netflix is slowing down with its lineup of scary movies and shows. All this month you can catch spooky flicks like "Men in Black," "Casper," "Silent Hill" and "Oculus."
The streaming giant is also releasing some buzzy original programming, including the highly-anticipated "The Punisher" from the Marvel universe and "Alias Grace," a miniseries about an Irish immigrant/murderess that -- like the Emmy-winning "Handmaid's Tale" -- is also based on a Margaret Atwood novel. Check out the full November Netflix roster.
More Accusers Speak Out Against Kevin Spacey

Rapp's statement seems to have encouraged others to come forward and share their own stories of alleged sexual misconduct by Spacey. For example, U.S. filmmaker Tony Montana told Radar Online that Spacey grabbed his crotch in a Los Angeles bar in 2003, after which he suffered from PTSD for six months.
Spacey is reportedly seeking treatment in response to these allegations. His publicist told The New York Times that the actor "is taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment." See the other accusers' stories.
