Patch Pet Of The Week: Jackson
Meet Jackson, a rescue pup who came into his owner's life at just the right time!

Introducing Jackson, a rescue pup with the most lovable personality around.
Jackson is a rescue cockapoo (maybe he has a bit of terrier in him too) from Enfield, Connecticut. It is believed that he is about 6 years old now, although no one knows for sure. He has such a funny, lovable personality!
First day home
Two days into being home, his owner opened the door to get the mail and Jackson made a run for it. He was just rescued and already trying to run away! Luckily, she caught him after a bit of running around.

Favorite treat
He is not discriminatory — he loves anything (especially whatever someone else has). However, he must "taste test" all of his treats for safety reasons.
Weirdest thing he ever ate
Nothing too weird, but his owner gave him pretzels one night and they ended up in the doggie ER thinking he was really sick. Five-hundred dollars, a few X-rays and an ultrasound later — it turned out to just be gas.

Likes
Jackson loves to go on walks patrolling his kingdom and neighborhood! He just loves to be around people.
Dislikes
He hates taking a shower.
Funniest habit
This pup actually has two funny habits. He loves doing laps around the inside of the house with a toy or bone in his mouth. He also never chews the bone, but hides it in the sofa or in the corners of his bed.
Favorite toy
He loves everything that squeaks, until he rips the squeaker out!
When they say 'who rescued who', it's true
His owner wasn't looking for a new dog after her cocker, Cooper, passed away from a cancerous tumor. But a friend found him online at a local shelter, so she decided to check it out. When she finally got to meet him, she instantly fell in love and wondered how this good looking dog ended up in a shelter for 21 days. She is convinced that Cooper knew she couldn't be alone and needed a friend. So Jackson was her lifesaver!
