Sit back and relax and get ready to learn all about Lucy, our newest pet of the week!
Lucy, also known as Lucy-girl, is a 12-year-old Dachshund-Chihuahua mix from Cape Saint Claire. She was rescued when she was about 8 years old. She's as sweet as can be and loves nothing more than a trip to the local beach! Fun fact: She was named after "I Love Lucy".
First day home
As expected, Lucy was very shy and a bit afraid of her new family, not to mention she missed her wonderful foster mom a lot. However, after about a week she finally came around to falling in love with her new family (even though they were already madly in love with her)!

Favorite treat
She loves chicken-rolled strips.
Weirdest thing she ever ate
She's pretty picky about what she eats, so she hasn't really eaten anything all that weird in her life.

Likes
Lucy loves to get her exercise in by running around the grass or on the sand at the beach.
Dislikes
Loud noises really scare this pup. Her mom thinks this may have something to do with her background.
Funniest habit
When her family goes to wake her up in the morning, she immediately rolls on her back for a belly rub. Aw!
Favorite Toy
She really doesn't play with toys!
'She never seems to get tired'
Although Lucy is on the older side for dogs, she still has a ton of energy. She has gone on hikes with her mom for as long as an hour and she never seems to be tired. We hope her energy is long lasting!
