Patch Pet Of The Week: Tia

Our new Patch Pet of the Week, Tia, is one of the smartest, most unique dogs around! You won't get bored learning about her life.

Tia is a hound mix from Virginia who just turned five years old in April. She is the most energetic dog around. The hound part of her is more noticeable with her bark and howl.

First day home

The first day her mama got her, Tia laid in her lap and they knew it was meant to be. She was only five months old when she was adopted, so her mom spent some time throughout the day taking her out when needed and showing her where her bathroom is — outside, not inside!

Favorite treat

She has quite a lot, but her top two favorites are Buddy Biscuits and Bil-Jac.

Weirdest thing she ever ate

She ate a lot of shoes. She was just a pup, but her owner was not prepared for that.

Likes

She loves getting rewarded with treats, going on walks all day long and chasing squirrels around the backyard.

Dislikes

Baths. She absolutely despises bath time.

Funniest habit

Her mama believes Tia thinks she's part cow. She eats grass almost everyday and she runs around with the grass sticking out of her mouth.

Favorite Toy

Her bun-bun, which is a giant stuffed bunny her mom got for her.

'Tia knows some American sign language'

Her mama taught her some ASL and she is learning more everyday. What a smart pup!
