San Luis Obispo Plane Crash: 1 Dead After Small Plane Goes Down
One person is dead after a small plane crashed in Paso Robles Sunday morning.

PASO ROBLES, CA — A man is dead after the single engine plane he was piloting crashed in a field Sunday off Highway 46 near Paso Robles, according to a San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's report. Deputies responded to reports of the plane crash in a field off of Highway 46 East. When they arrived, they discovered the plane — a single engine biplane that appears to be a World War I replica. Identification of the victim is pending notification of next of kin.
The plane apparently had taken off a few minutes earlier from a private airstrip a few miles away before it crashed into the field. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are en route to the scene. No further information is available at this time.
