Santa Tracker 2018: Follow His Sleigh Along On NORAD

Follow Santa on his magical journey from the North Pole all the way to your rooftop this Christmas.

Where in the world is that jolly fella we call Santa Claus? We're willing to bet that right this second, he's hanging with his elves in the North Pole while stuffing his sleigh full of goodies in preparation for Christmas.

But we'll let you in on a little secret: Come Christmas Eve, we'll know for certain his every move, from the moment he leaves his workshop right up until he slides down your chimney.

Since Santa keeps track of us all year round, we thought it was only fair that we get a glimpse of his whereabouts in the hours leading up to Christmas. To accomplish this festive feat, we've enlisted the help of the North American Air Defense Command (NORAD) to track the big man's sleigh. (Yes, we mean business.)

Our latest intel report from NORAD has confirmed that Santa and his crew still have some presents to wrap and reindeer to feed before takeoff, which is scheduled for 2 a.m. EST on Christmas Eve. But in the meantime, you can stay entertained with exciting holiday activities at Santa's Village in the North Pole, like reading about Santa's holiday traditions or jamming out to his favorite tunes.

And that's not the only way to keep tabs on Old Saint Nick this year! Word on the street is that some tech-savvy and hot cocoa-fueled elves have partnered up with Google to work in a virtual Santa's Village.

With a little inspiration from Mrs. Claus herself, the elves have spruced up the village with some fun and interactive games and activities. Snowball-throwing extravaganzas, wrap battles and "elfie" contests will keep you occupied until Santa's sleigh is miles high.

Speaking of his sleigh, once Christmas Eve arrives on Dec. 24, use Google's Santa Tracker to get info straight from the sleigh's GPS. Search for Santa directly on Google Maps or click here for real-time updates and street views of the neighborhoods he's visiting. And keep in mind, Google's forecast has Santa departing a few hours after NORAD.

Choose one tracker or compare landing times on both to ensure you're all set for Santa's arrival, with Christmas pajamas on and milk and cookies laid out. Just remember: You better watch out, and you better log on, because Santa Claus is comin' to town!
