Thanksgiving is right around the corner — and this year we want to know what you'll be cooking for your friends and family!

Whether you've got a stuffing recipe that's been handed down for generations, a mouthwatering cookie recipe that's the talk of your town or a festive cocktail you serve every year, share it with your neighbors on Patch.

But that's not all! Post your holiday recipe and photo on the site and you'll be entered for the chance to win a Thanksgiving gift basket filled with all sorts of culinary goodies to help you master your next recipe. Here's how to post on Patch in 5 simple steps:

Step 1: Click "Post on Patch" to create your account. Once you are logged in, you're ready to create your article on Patch!

Step 2: Click or tap "Write An Article." Enter the name of your recipe in the title field. Then, list your recipe step-by-step, add a short description of why it's such a crowd-pleaser, and any other fun facts or tips you want to share with your neighbors!

Step 3: Add a photo of your recipe! Click on "Browse" to choose your favorite photo and then click "Upload" to add to the article.

Step 4: Post your article! Once you've got everything looking good, click or tap "Post Now" at the bottom to get your article live. Click on your article preview to open it in a browser window.

Step 5: Email your article to Patch! Copy the URL of your live article on Patch and send it to submissions@patch.com by December 1 to be entered to win a prize. This is the most important step, so don't forget to send us an email!
