Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Features Christie Brinkley, 63

Thirty-eight years after she first appeared on the magazine's cover, Christie Brinkley, now 63, will appear in this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

Sailor Brinkley Cook and Alexa Ray Joel, Brinkley's daughters, will appear alongside their mother in the magazine's pages. Joel is also the daughter of singer Billy Joel.

"This is a real full circle moment for me," Brinkley told Sports Illustrated during the shoot. "I can get very emotional about this. How many years ago, I was that insecure girl hoping that I would be good enough for the magazine. So to see my daughters now having the same thoughts I had, and to be able to see them actually be there on the job, was definitely a big moment."

Brinkley, who first appeared on the cover in 1979, was the first model to be featured three years in a row. She shared a teaser photo on Instagram.

"Thank you Sports Illustrated for sending the powerful message that good things come in packages of every size and we do not come with an expiration date!" Brinkley wrote.
