Supreme Court Leaves CDC Eviction Moratorium In Place
Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh joined the court's three liberal justices Tuesday to keep the moratorium in place.

In a 5-4 vote, the court rejected a request from a group of landlords asking the judges to effectively end the moratorium, which is set to run through the end of July. In its request, the group claimed the moratorium was "unlawful government overreach."
Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh joined the court’s three liberal justices to keep the moratorium in place.
