U.S. Hits 300 Million Coronavirus Shots; July 4 Goal Unlikely
After 150 days in office, President Joe Biden marked the milestone by saying there is "more work to be done" against the pandemic.

WASHINGTON, DC — The United States on Friday surpassed a big milestone in the fight against COVID-19. More than 300 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the United States; however, it's unlikely the country will reach President Joe Biden's goal of at least one vaccination shot to 70 percent of adults by July 4.
Biden marked the occasion with a speech at the White House, during which he acknowledged there is more work to be done.
“The truth is that deaths and hospitalizations are drastically down in places where people are getting vaccinated," Biden said. "But unfortunately, cases of hospitalizations are not going down in many places."
