Violent Incidents Erupt As US Celebrates Independence
Toledo saw 5 shot by multiple shooters in only one of more than half a dozen July 4th violent incidents in Monday's early hours.
TOLEDO, OH — As July 4 turned into July 5, cities across America marked shooting incidents in the wee hours of Monday, with victims that included minors and police officers.
Five people were shot and six others injured though not by shooting at a block party early Monday and Toledo Police reported one of the injured was a child about 10.
The Toledo party that broke into shooting violence on Lawrence Avenue near Wall Street sent one man to the hospital in critical condition, according to a report by WTOL11.

It was one of a cluster of violent incidents around Independence Day celebrations seen across the country.
Chicago Police Department reported early Monday morning two officers were hospitalized with non-threatening injuries after a shooting incident at the intersection of S. Madison Street and Wabash Avenue. The Chicago Tribune reported the incident happened outside Stroger Hospital on Chicago's West Side around 1:45 a.m. The Department said officers were dispersing a crowd when the shots were fired.

An early Monday morning shooting at 60th and Walnut streets in Philadelphia, left men two dead and a teenaged girl injured, according to a report by PHL17 early Monday morning. According to the report, police said at leaset 90 shots were fired.
Rochester Police are said early Monday they are investigating a shooting inside a home on Dewey Street. Capt. Ryan Tauriello confirmed on Twitter that three people were shot, and all were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. No information was given on their conditions.
In Cincinnati Police reported two dead and three injured, according to areportby WLWT, who said the July 4 shootings apparently happened in the vicinity of the Carousel at Smale Park where markers were placed along Theodore Berry Way, along with police tape.
Two women in Austin, Tex. went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries from a shooting there, according to a report from KXAN news. The incident happened shortly after 2 a.m. at E. Sixth Street near Trinity Street, the report said.
