Walmart, Kroger, Target, Aldi: 4th Of July Grocery Store Hours

ACROSS AMERICA — As plans for 4th of July celebrations ramp up, trips to the grocery stores are already being made. Trader Joe's, Albertson's and BJ's are among the popular grocery store chains that have stocked up for the holiday celebrating America’s independence.

But it’s almost inevitable that a supply of condiments, hot dogs, potato chips and other 4th of July classics will be forgotten on the day. Luckily for last-minute shoppers, the majority of grocery stores will still be open to help out.

Here are the grocery stores that will be open on the Fourth of July, along with a couple that won’t.

Some grocery stores are still operating under face covering guidelines as the coronavirus pandemic continues into its second summer, so make sure to double-check with your neighborhood location before going into a store without a mask.

What’s Open:

Albertson’s: Albertson’s is expected to be open for regular local hours.

ALDI: ALDI will be open but will have limited holiday hours for the day. You’ll want to check with your local store.

BJ’s: BJ’s will remain open, but check with your local store for possible adjusted hours.

Dollar General: Dollar General is open on the 4th of July, but check with your local store for possible adjusted hours.

Giant Foods: Giant stores will be open, but check with your local location for possible adjusted hours.

Harris Teeter: Most Harris Teeter locations are expected to be open during their regular hours.

Kroger: Most stores will be open during regular hours, but select locations may differ.

Sam’s Club: Sam’s Club locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Plus members, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for club members.

Stop & Shop: Stop & Shop will be open during regular hours.

Target: Target locations are open. Store hours will depend on your neighborhood location.

Walmart: Walmart stores will be open during regular local hours on Independence Day.

What’s Closed:

Costco: All Costco locations are closed on July 4.

Trader Joe’s: All stores will be closed on July 4.
