The hit musical 'Wicked' started its Broadway run 15 years ago on October 30, 2003. With Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth leading the original cast, 'Wicked' earned not only critical acclaim, but astounding box office success not seen since Disney's 'The Lion King' roared onto the stage in 1997. To date, "Wicked" has reportedly earned over 1 billion from Broadway ticket sales, not including the show's national tour or multiple international productions.
To honor the milestone anniversary, NBC hosted 'A Very Wicked Halloween,' showcasing the Tony Award-winning show's iconic music with original, past and present stars of the cast. Ariana Grande, Adam Lambert, Pentatonix and more were also invited to get on stage and belt out some of the memorable tunes.
