Dzenutis: I started Wing to Wing three years ago after a longtime career in corporate finance. I have over three decades of finance experience, a decade of Individual and Small Business taxation, a decade of Financial Operations and a decade of Financial Controllership. The span of my experience is how I came up with the business name “Wing to Wing.” It’s meant to imply "start to finish." My passion is ensuring my clients feel financially confident. I’ve now integrated bookkeeping, accounting, tax compliance and education into a consulting service model, and I like to focus my work on small businesses and families.
Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Dzenutis: I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and became intrigued by how people made their own money. When you look under the hood of a company and see what’s going on, it’s easy to see why some companies succeed and others don’t. I wasn’t necessarily drawn to the financial world — although all of my education is in finance. I am innately motivated to understand how businesses can be both efficient and profitable.
Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?
Dzenutis: Empowerment through wholistic financial knowledge.
Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Dzenutis: Seeing my incredible clients and their businesses succeed compliantly. Also, when a client says, “Oh, I know what that means,” and it’s clear that they have been learning — that makes me so happy!
Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?
Dzenutis: Transitioning from what my daughter would describe as the “corporate grind” to being your own boss has been a welcome change. I’m very lucky because I love the work I do, and I’m sure my clients can tell. However, the biggest challenge has probably been spearheading the creative side of owning a business. I’m a finance person — designing my logo was a humorous experience.
Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Dzenutis: I treat every client like they’re my only client — and I hold my clients accountable to do the right thing, always.
Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?
Dzenutis: If you love what you do, you will succeed (eventually).
Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about?
Dzenutis: My newest endeavor is to understand the Economic Bailout options, so that my clients get the financial assistance they deserve. I am relentless when it comes to my clients.
