Zoo Rivalry + Opposite-Sex Clothing Ban Gone + ATF Agents Shot

ACROSS AMERICA — Any bad blood between Pittsburgh and Cleveland is mostly evident on the football field, with the Steelers and Browns rivalry dating back several decades.

But now, the zoos in each of the cities just 133 miles apart are battling in a legal case. The Cleveland Metroparks is suing its counterpart in the Steel City for the use of the term “Asian Lantern Festival,” a popular yearly event in Cleveland.

The suit is only aimed at Pittsburgh, even though several other cities across the country hold similarly named events. Read the story on Cleveland Patch

Village Repeals Opposite-Sex Clothing Ban

Until now, it had been against the law in a Chicago suburb to wear clothing “properly belonging to the opposite sex.” Village officials in Elk Grove Village repealed the 1961 ordinance last week after protesters voiced their ire at what they called an “antiquated” law.
