#1 - "You All Grow Up and Leave Me: A Memoir of Teenage Obsession" by Piper Weiss

In the early '90s, Gary Wilensky was a middle-aged tennis coach who worked with some of New York City's top teenage athletes. He took an abnormal interest in the young women's personal lives and developed a dangerous obsession with one player in particular. When Wilensky's attempt to kidnap this player went awry, he shot and killed himself. Piper Weiss, who was not the target of the kidnapping plot but had been thrilled to be one of "Gary's Girls" at the time, spent the next 20 years wondering how the predatory coach's behavior impacted her in adolescence and into adulthood. In "You All Grow Up and Leave Me," the author explores the manipulative methods used by Wilensky and other child predators and the lasting damage their psychological abuse can have on victims.
