Adam Schiff Talks 'Trump Grand Jury Problem' With Seth Meyers [Late-night Clip Of The Day]

The Democrat senator also talked about how it felt to be "slimed" by President Trump on Twitter.

Rep. Adam Schiff, a Democrat from California, appeared on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" Thursday evening to break down the recently reported grand jury impaneled by Special Counsel Bob Mueller, who is leading an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

But first, Meyers read a tweet from President Trump calling Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Select Intelligence Committee, which is conducting its own Russia-Trump investigation, "sleazy."

"My reaction was, 'I've been slimed,'" Schiff told Meyers. "My second reaction was, he really should've talked to my friends from grade school; with a name like Schiff, they did much better than he did." (For more national political news, sign up for the free White House Patch email newsletter.)
