Colbert: Trump's Harvey Reaction A Disaster
"The Late Show" host was not impressed with President Trump's visits to Texas in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

Stephen Colbert opened the monologue of his first show back after a two-week break with a heartfelt plea to his audience to contribute to Hurricane Harvey disaster relief programs. But after that, he was back at sharply criticizing President Trump Tuesday night.
"Speaking of unprecedented disasters: Donald Trump," said "The Late Show" host. "He went down to Texas and had a little trouble nailing the comforter-in-chief tone."
For example, Colbert said, Trump took the opportunity to brag about the crowd size at one of his appearances and, on his first trip to Texas, avoided visiting any damaged areas. "He's been closer to a flood in a Russian hotel room," Colbert quipped. (For more national political news, sign up for the free White House Patch email newsletter.)
